Things are falling into place to start building the Assembly Hall for the Katoke-Lweru Secondary School. The plans are finalised, the preferred Tanzanian builder has been chosen and the greater part of the funds are in hand. But we have needed an Australian builder to oversee the work. Then came an unexpected and wonderful possibility.
Our Building Committee Chairman, Warren Stalder, has contacted an Australian builder, Rob Boone, who could go to Katoke.Rob, a relation of Warrenβs, has been working in war-torn Sudan with a Christian Aid group.
However, when they were in Uganda for a break, the inter-tribal fighting intensified, making travel back dangerous and ill-advised. So they are presently in Uganda β just north of Katoke. With his wife and children, Rob may be able to assist at Katoke until November. He has a vehicle and could soon travel to Katoke – not far from where they are.
The School has welcomed Rob, his wife, Kate, and their five children to stay in the KLSS Guest House.
Rob, who has strong references and has worked as a partner in a building company in Australia, looks to be an unexpected but divine provision despite the sad conditions in Sudan that forced his departure.

meaning we yet need to raise some $70,000 β $100,000.The target of our EOFY appeal is $100,000. Can you contribute? Every dollar counts! I myself am gathering sponsors for my 120km walk!
